Hints:
Load game under nickname DEMO, then continue games; this will load up a Megapark with most of the rides but with a few faults, such as no queues to the rides, or the rides aren't open, or the roller coaster doesn't have enough speed to make it to the top. If you want to build your own, rather than fix this one, sell it off at auction - but sell it only after 2 years, not 1, as no-one will bid for it after one year of operation because they still expect it to go bust. Then start in a new country.
Here's some tips to help you design your computer's answer to Dreamworld. Be careful building paths. The little people are curious and will wander about everywhere. Don't build paths to nowhere - direct them to spending more money! Find and free the stupid stuck people straight away otherwise they will lower the morale of the entire park.
Always act on thought bubbles and service people's needs. If you see black clouds they are the worst of all so query them and see what's bothering them. Crying people means there are thugs in the park popping balloons (the bastards!) Find them and do a Dirty Harry impersonation. Thugs are easy to find because they don't respond to the query function.
Start employing handymen the moment litter starts appearing. You should have one for every two or three food stalls. You should have one mechanic for every three or four rides and employ them before smoke appears on a ride. Staff are expensive so when you're losing money flex your administrative muscle and consider lay-offs.
Group food stalls together just like they do in shopping centres. This makes it easier for handyman zoning. Avoid placing food near fast rides and avoid placing toilets near food stalls. Place paths on both front and back of food stalls - they can serve from both sides.
Keep the park simple and cut down on paths. Remember you have to pay land tax for every tile with something placed on it. Single tracks are adequate - never build double tracks and avoid squares or plazas where people wander about aimlessly. Use one-way paths on exits to avoid people going up dead ends. Even the longest ride paths can fill-up so ensure your park is laid out so that people will return to the ride later.
Signs can be very useful and point in up to three directions. To lie with the sign post and send people in profitable directions place the sing as normal then keeping the sign post selected left click on the sign. This will turn the pointer 45 degrees.
Fireworks are a simple way to make your customers happy. Light them in December and increase your chances of winning a happiness award.
